The GF1538 heats fast and gets the job done the first time through. It takes me about 10 minutes to get my hair straight. It has never done damage to my hair and very comfortable to use. I can get in close to the scalp and to my ears without getting any burns. It is very handy, it flattens my hair with out making it so straight it doesn't have any body. You can also turn under to create a curl under or up look. It also leaves my hair feeling soft and looking soft and not fried. This is also the one my hair dresser uses and she recomended this brand to me and I trust her opinion.
